More than 25 years of global business and people leadership, more than 15 of them leading HR. People Operations for a 2,000+ person, 24-hour regulated manufacturing workforce. Six M&A and company-launch transactions across the US, Canada, and Mexico, and a Chapter 11 restructuring led alongside McKinsey advisers. Bilingual English and Spanish.
In 2021, ADP Canada ran its first two payroll cycles late for a launch of more than 200 employees. Running payroll by hand so every person was paid on time, then reconciling it back into ADP, was nobody's job description. It was the job. Acquisitions, launches, restructurings, and system migrations all ask the same question of HR: can people trust the function that pays them, documents them, and tells them the truth?
Each row is a deal, a launch, or a restructuring I carried the HR workstream for. Select a row to see what that work involved. Each gold mark ties back to a documented deliverable.
Workstreams: Assess (workforce and staffing models), Onboard, Pay (payroll continuity), Systems (HRIS and process mapping), Retain, Separate (separation and closure), Govern (board, labor, and compliance reporting).
My career started in Nicaragua, inside the Chairman of the Board's executive office at Pellas Group, a diversified 12-company group. Eight years of governance-meeting support, shareholder coordination, and cross-company follow-through taught me how decisions actually travel through an organization, long before they reach a policy manual.
At PRC Composites, an aerospace and defense composites manufacturer serving customers including Boeing and General Atomics, my role grew from Office Manager to HR Manager. There, I supported the HR transition through the company's 2016 majority-stake acquisition and formalized HR as the plant expanded to 24-hour, three-shift operations. At United Material Handling, I built the company's first US HR department and scaled it as headcount grew from roughly 250 to 500. During that tenure, the company ranked No. 8 (2021) and No. 9 (2020) on Fortune's Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production list, Small and Medium category.
At Better Nutritionals, a 24-hour FDA, NSF, and BRC regulated nutraceutical manufacturer, a promotion to VP of Human Resources came four months in. People Operations covered more than 2,000 people across three shifts. When the company entered Chapter 11, I built the staffing and compensation model presented to the CEO and McKinsey consultants, then stayed as the last HR professional in the building to run final pay, separations, and benefits termination.
Today, as Chief Human Resources Officer at Halberton & Crowe, I lead the firm's HR function and deliver fractional CHRO engagements for organizations that need executive People leadership now. Doctor of Business Administration expected 2027.
Hired as Director of Human Resources to rebuild HR for a 24-hour nutraceutical manufacturer, then promoted to VP reporting to the CEO. Led People Operations through 7 direct reports, including close to 1,000 temporary agency personnel, with a $360K HR budget and roughly $60M in annual payroll value. Deployed Paycom across four states in under two months with all direct employees live on the first run. From Chapter 11 in December 2022 to Chapter 7 closure in March 2023, built the staffing and compensation model for the CEO and McKinsey, then ran final pay, separations, and benefits termination for the last group of about 31 employees.
Hired to establish a dedicated HR function as growth outpaced owner-run personnel administration. Built HR for UMH and United Installation Services with a team of five, designed job families, grade structures, and salary ranges from internal equity and Bureau of Labor Statistics data, and led the HR workstream of the 2021 Canadian launch. Later led closure planning for the Canadian division and the HR and payroll integration of the acquired Guadalajara, Mexico operation. The company ranked No. 9 (2020) and No. 8 (2021) on Fortune's list, Small and Medium category.
Lead the firm's HR function and its executive HR advisory delivery. As fractional CHRO for a virtual paralegal services company with 500+ remote US employees and about 70 in Mexicali, Mexico, reported to the CEO with delegated authority over HR operations, policy, staffing, and spend. Redesigned recruiting around a prescreened candidate bench in two months in 2024, and owned the Zoho to Rippling migration end to end. In 2026, delivered a three-month post-acquisition HR integration inside the PMO workstream of a manufacturer acquisition.
Learned across a tribal acquisition, a Canadian launch, a Mexico integration, a Chapter 11 wind-down, and a 2026 PMO integration. Each one is a practice with a paper trail.
Integration plans tend to start with systems and synergies. Mine start with the workforce: who is critical, who is at risk, what the compensation picture costs, and which separations are coming. That model is what the CEO, the advisers, and the PMO argue over, so it has to exist early and it has to be right.
Employees forgive a slow org chart. They do not forgive a missed paycheck. Every system change I lead is judged on one result: everyone paid correctly on the first run, and a manual fallback ready if the vendor is not.
Regulated manufacturing runs on evidence. HR records, job architecture, and access controls should be built so an auditor, an acquirer, or a union representative can follow them without a guide.
Closures, divestitures, and workforce reductions are where an HR function shows what it is. Separations handled with clear information, correct final pay, and labor agreements honored protect the people leaving and the reputation of the people who stay.
